Frankel had rarely tried cannabis until he was 49. He was a partner in one of the most successful practices in West Los Angeles and a clinical professor at UCLA Medical School. He’d been my family’s internist for 15 years, and I found him a skilled diagnostician, who listened carefully, and who cared. This study demonstrated that cannabinol increased food intake and body weight gain, while CBD decreased food consumption and weight gain. If your guess is that in this study CBD was also working by “tanning” WAT to BAT, then you are likely spot on.
But, if you are heavily obese you most probably will start with a much higher dosage. In order to find the right dosage for your situation, you can start with a relatively moderate level and, monitor for two weeks, increase, monitor etc. etc. Start with 60mg a day divided into three (or two) takings and see how much weight you lost during a two-week period.

On the plus side, there is an earnest desire for people to lose weight, which is why the weight loss industry is worth an astonishing $66 billion! But this staggering number, added to the fact that fewer people are dieting and more are gaining weight, tells us two things: One, that weight loss supplements are fundamentally ineffective; and two, that they are very, very expensive.
